PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - As it enters its 216th year, the city of Bandung continues to demonstrate progress in governance and public services. The numerous awards received throughout 2026 demonstrate that efforts to reform the bureaucracy and improve the quality of public services are on the right track.

This was conveyed by the Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan, during the 216th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony of the City of Bandung (HJKB) at the Bandung City Hall Plaza, Friday (25/9/2026).

Farhan revealed that the various awards received by the City of Bandung are not merely symbols of achievement, but rather recognition of the hard work of all government officials in providing increasingly better services to the public.

One of the proud achievements was winning the Best Adminduk Prima I award in the category of districts/cities with high population density from the West Java Provincial Government.

Not only that, the City of Bandung also received the Drestanta Arindama award as a form of appreciation for excellence in the implementation of population administration.

In addition, the Best I Front Office Officer for Adminduk Prima is in the Regency/City category with a high population density.

"Through excellent population administration services, we ensure that citizens' basic rights are protected and they receive legal certainty," said Farhan.

According to him, population administration services are one of the basic services directly experienced by the public. Therefore, the Bandung City Government continues to strive to provide fast, easy, and accurate services.

The various innovations implemented not only impact the quality of public services, but also contribute to increasing public trust in the government.

In addition to the population administration sector, positive achievements have also been recorded in the investment sector. Bandung City achieved third place nationally in the 2026 Investment Services Award presented by the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Investment/BKPM.

The award demonstrates the success of Bandung City in creating a healthy investment climate through simplifying licensing, improving service quality, and providing certainty for business actors.

Farhan said that openness to investment is an important part of efforts to strengthen regional economic growth while creating jobs for the community.

"Bandung must be a superior and open city. Open to various innovations and investments that provide real benefits to its citizens," he said.

According to Farhan, this achievement is in line with the vision of Bandung Utama, specifically in realizing a superior and open city through professional public services that are oriented towards the needs of the community.

He stated that the awards received should not make government officials complacent. Instead, these achievements should motivate them to continue improving the quality of service.

"These awards are both recognition and motivation for us to continue to provide the best for the city of Bandung and its citizens," he said.

Farhan also expressed his appreciation to the civil servants who received the Satyalancana Karya Satya (Satya) Award from the President of the Republic of Indonesia during the HJKB (National Service Day) celebration. The award reflects the dedication and integrity of civil servants in serving the public.
