PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Bekasi Deputy Regent (Wabup) Asep Surya Atmaja invited companies in Bekasi Regency to play an active role in supporting the Uninhabitable Houses (Rutilahu) program as part of the synergy between the local government and the private sector in improving community welfare.

The invitation was conveyed during a visit to two companies that have implemented Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, namely PT Yutaka Manufacturing Indonesia (YMI) and PT Kayaba Indonesia (KYBI) in the MM2100 area, Bekasi Regency, Thursday (24/4/2025).

During his visit, Asep appreciated the two companies for their contributions in various social programs, ranging from health, UMKM empowerment, to agriculture. He emphasized the importance of the active role of the business world in supporting regional development.

"Both PTs have contributed to the community in the fields of health, MSMEs, and agriculture," he said.

He also said that the Bekasi Regency Government (Pemkab) has a Rutilahu program as an effort to provide decent housing for underprivileged residents. According to him, the success of the program requires close collaboration between the government and the private sector.

"We really hope that companies in Bekasi Regency can participate in this Rutilahu program. Active participation from the private sector is very important to accelerate the resolution of the problem of uninhabitable houses and improve community welfare," he said.

Responding to the invitation, the Management of PT Kayaba Indonesia through its representative Lilik Haryanto stated his company's readiness to support the Rutilahu program. He revealed that PT Kayaba has carried out various CSR activities targeting the Bekasi Regency community.

"Yes, actually we have carried out CSR programs, including Posyandu, health checks, reforestation, and conducting road shows to every school," he said.

He also added that his party welcomed the local government's invitation and was ready to collaborate further.

"Yes, of course we support the Rutilahu program from the Regional Government," he said.

With the support of the private sector, the Bekasi Regency Government is optimistic that the Rutilahu program can run more optimally and evenly throughout the region. This collaboration is expected to not only solve housing problems, but also strengthen corporate social responsibility towards the surrounding environment.

Asep emphasized that the partnership between the government and the business world must continue to be expanded so that regional development is inclusive and sustainable, and its benefits are truly felt by the community.
