PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Bekasi Deputy Regent Asep Surya Atmaja appreciated the concrete steps taken by PT. Yili Indonesian Dairy which has shown its commitment to absorbing local workers and implementing corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. He conveyed this during a working visit to the company's production facilities in the GIIC Deltamas Area, Sukamukti Village, Bojongmangu District, Monday (20/4/2025).
During his visit, Asep conveyed the importance of collaboration between the business world and local governments to create a healthy and competitive employment ecosystem. He said that PT. Yili has fulfilled these expectations through the recruitment of local workers and the implementation of targeted CSR programs.
"Alhamdulillah, what we expect regarding the absorption of local workers and the implementation of CSR programs has become PT. Yili's commitment," said Asep Surya Atmaja.
In a live dialogue session with local employees, Asep received a positive response regarding working conditions at PT. Yili, including the wage system that is in accordance with the Regional Minimum Wage (UMR) and health insurance provided by the company. He also advised workers to always maintain their work spirit and show integrity as a representation of the workforce from Bekasi Regency.
"I advise employees to continue to improve their work spirit, maintain the good name of Bekasi Regency, and work with a sense of belonging. This is important to create a harmonious and productive working relationship," he added.
Based on the latest data, of the total 755 employees of PT. Yili Indonesian Dairy, 325 people are residents of Bekasi Regency, 410 people from outside the region and 20 people are foreign workers. This composition is considered to reflect the company's commitment to providing job opportunities for the local community.
Asep also emphasized that the Bekasi Regency Government will continue to encourage all industrial sectors to prioritize the recruitment of local workers. In addition, optimizing the implementation of CSR programs as a form of social responsibility towards the environment and surrounding communities.
The visit of the Bekasi Deputy Regent is part of the local government's ongoing efforts to strengthen synergy with the industrial sector in order to create an inclusive and sustainable investment climate.
