Bekasi Deputy Regent Sends U-15 Team to 2025 International Barati Cup

PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Bekasi Deputy Regent Asep Surya Atmaja officially released the departure of the U-15 Team of the Bekasi Regency PSSI Association to take part in the 2025 East Java International Bangga Merah Putih (Barati) Cup Tournament in Surabaya City, East Java, on April 14–20, 2025.

Barati Cup is an international youth football event participated by 112 teams from the age groups of 13, 14, and 15 years. The teams come from seven countries and 14 provinces in Indonesia.

The participation of the Bekasi Regency team is real evidence of the success of early age football development carried out by the Bekasi Regency PSSI Askab.

In his speech, Asep expressed his appreciation and pride to all players, coaches, and management of Askab PSSI Bekasi Regency for their commitment and hard work in developing young talents.

"Alhamdulillah, this is thanks to the hard work of the coaching team, officials, and the enthusiasm of the players so that we can qualify for the Barati Cup in Surabaya," he said.

He added that this tournament is a prestigious event that deserves appreciation because it is attended by teams from various countries. Therefore, support from the local government is a form of commitment in encouraging the progress of sports, especially football.

"This coaching is proof that the program is running on the right track and bringing proud results," he said.

Asep also advised the players to compete with full enthusiasm, uphold sportsmanship, and bring a good name to Bekasi Regency.

"Never get tired of dreaming and keep practicing. The future of football in this region rests on your shoulders. Hopefully this step will inspire other young generations, that with hard work, discipline, and prayer, nothing is impossible," he said.

Chairman of Askab PSSI Bekasi Regency Hamun Sutisna explained that the U-15 Team that was sent were the best players. They had been selected from various football schools in Bekasi Regency.

Hamun hopes the team can perform optimally and bring home proud achievements. He also said that if the team wins the title, they will be sent to participate in the next tournament in Sweden and will be funded by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. (Diskominfo Kab. Bekasi/ Rani)
