PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Commemorating the 29th Regional Autonomy Day in 2025, Bekasi Deputy Regent Asep Surya Atmaja emphasized the importance of synergy between the central and regional governments as the main foundation in building Indonesia towards the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045. In a solemn ceremony at the Bekasi Regency Government Plaza, Cikarang Pusat District, Friday (4/25/2025), Asep called for strengthening cross-sector collaboration to accelerate equitable development and improve the quality of public services.

The commemoration ceremony attended by hundreds of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the Bekasi Regency Government carried the theme "Central and Regional Synergy in Building the Archipelago Towards Golden Indonesia 2045." Asep led the ceremony by reading the message of the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

In his message, Asep expressed his appreciation to all levels of regional government, community leaders, academics, journalists and other elements of the nation who have contributed to the success of the implementation of regional autonomy in Indonesia. He emphasized that the spirit of collaboration and active participation are the main pillars of responsive, transparent and accountable governance.

"Synergy between the center and regions is a must to achieve the nation's ideals as stated in the constitution," he said.

Furthermore, Asep outlined eight strategic matters that must be a shared concern in harmonizing development steps between the center and regions. These include efforts to realize food and energy self-sufficiency, sustainable water resource management, clean and serving governance, development of entrepreneurship that creates jobs, increasing access and quality of education, equal distribution of health services, bureaucratic reform, and fair and firm law enforcement.

He emphasized that achieving the goals of regional autonomy is highly dependent on a shared commitment to continue innovating and improving the quality of public services. Therefore, all elements of regional government are expected to synergize, not only with the central government, but also with the community and the private sector.

"With good governance, we can accelerate development, strengthen national integration, and increase regional competitiveness which will ultimately have a positive impact on the progress of the nation as a whole," he added.

Overall, Bekasi Deputy Regent Asep Surya Atmaja emphasized that the commemoration of the 29th Regional Autonomy Day is a strategic momentum to strengthen the commitment of all parties in realizing more effective, transparent, and serving governance. He considered that the success of regional autonomy is not only reflected in the delegation of authority, but also in the extent to which regions are able to manage potential independently, improve community welfare, and accelerate equitable development.
