PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - Deputy Regent (Wabup) of Garut dr. Helmi Budiman, participated in the ceremony of handing over Electronic Identity Cards (KTP-E) to students at the Darul Arqam Islamic Boarding School.
This event was organized by the Garut Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil), Tuesday (7/11/2023).
On this occasion, Helmi expressed his commitment to the population data collection program in Garut Regency. He stated that his party plans to expand the KTP making program in villages, communities and also in every school.
According to Helmi, the aim of this program is to speed up population data collection, especially for those who are getting a KTP for the first time.
"This is to speed things up, yes, for the first time we get an ID card, we can quickly data it, we can give them an ID card quickly, just like when these children grow up to be 17 years old, they immediately have an ID card," he said.
Helmi also explained that a similar program would be implemented in villages, especially for elderly people who had difficulty coming to the sub-district office or the Garut Disdukcapil office. He hopes that through this program, all Garut people can obtain KTPs this year.
"That's why we pick up villages like that. So this is a program so that this year we hope everyone will get an ID card," he said.
In this activity, Helmi handed over 38 ID cards to students at the Darul Arqam Islamic Boarding School. This program also aims to complete data collection, where currently there is only 1.5% left to reach 100%.
"So we want to pursue everything so that we have 100% full data," he said. (Diskominfo Garut/UPI)
