PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Deputy Regent (Wabup) of Garut Putri Karlina, directly reviewed the services at the Garut Samsat Office, Tuesday (25/3/2025).
This visit was conducted to ensure the smooth running of the motor vehicle tax "amnesty" service program, as a Gift program from the West Java Provincial Government to free motor vehicle tax arrears.
When greeting the people present, Putri highlighted the enthusiasm of the residents who have been waiting since morning for the service of exempting motor vehicle tax arrears. She emphasized that the taxes paid by the community will be used for the development and repair of road infrastructure in Garut Regency.
Putri also asked the public who will receive services to ask for the best solution if there are obstacles during the payment process, especially in terms of administration.
"Earlier, I asked the Samsat staff to make it easier. Because the point is that you want to pay, you have good intentions, why make it difficult," he said.
She also reminded the public not to hesitate to report if they find illegal levies (pungli). Putri also asked the public to ensure complete documents before accessing tax amnesty services so that the process runs smoothly.
"Ladies and gentlemen, in essence, I entrust the Garut Regency Samsat to serve you wholeheartedly, but you must also fulfill your obligations and fulfill the requirements," he said.
He also appealed to the public to take advantage of the tax amnesty program which runs from March 20 to June 6, 2025.
"While there is a gift from the Governor of West Java, let's take advantage of this opportunity. Pay off the current year's motor vehicle tax so that you don't have arrears in the following year," he said.
