PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan invited large and medium-sized entrepreneurs from the West Java National Entrepreneurs Network (Japnas) to participate in strengthening the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector. They were asked to mentor MSMEs so they could grow together.

This was conveyed by Erwan when attending the inauguration of the West Java Regional Management (PW) of Japnas 2025 - 2030 at the Grand Preanger Hotel, Bandung City, Monday (23/2/2026).

"Large and medium-sized entrepreneurs in Japnas must become mentors, imparting their knowledge to MSMEs so they can grow together, as there would be no large entrepreneurs without small entrepreneurs," he said.

Erwan said that West Java's economy has great potential, with the densest population in Indonesia and a strategic industrial and MSME ecosystem.

The number of MSMEs in West Java is expected to reach 5.4 million by the end of 2025, making it the province with the largest number of MSMEs in Indonesia. MSMEs in West Java are dominated by micro-enterprises (85.02 percent), small-scale enterprises (13.60 percent), and medium-large enterprises (1.38 percent), spread across various sectors such as culinary and trade.

"I hope entrepreneurs in Japan will collaborate with MSMEs in West Java," he requested.

Erwan said that the West Java Provincial Government is also very open to collaborating with Japnas to strengthen economic competitiveness.

Erwan is optimistic that the new management of Japnas West Java will be able to present concrete programs that will have a direct impact on regional economic growth, increase investment, and create new jobs.

"I'm confident, and the key is building a cross-sector collaborative network," Erwan said.
