PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan visited the West Java BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Regional Office in Bandung City on Thursday (October 1, 2026). During the visit, Erwan directly reviewed public services, from the claims submission process to participant registration.
Erwan praised the prompt and responsive service provided by the West Java BPJS Employment Agency (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan). He also emphasized that the collaboration between the West Java Provincial Government and the West Java BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Regional Office has been successful.
"When I first arrived, I saw how BPJS Ketenagakerjaan provides services to the public, both for claims processing and for registering as participants. Thank God, they're very responsive, and the collaboration so far has been excellent," said Erwan.
According to Erwan, this collaboration needs to be strengthened in the future, particularly in providing the public with an understanding of the procedures for submitting claims for employment social security benefits.
Meanwhile, Sudarwoto, Deputy Head of Membership for the West Java BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Region, stated that the West Java Provincial Government's support will be matched by improved service quality. From 2025 to September 2026, 2,361 beneficiaries received Death Benefit (JKM) benefits, totaling Rp82.3 billion.
In addition, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan has also provided scholarships for 34 children who are heirs with a total value of IDR 3 billion.
"We certainly agree with what the Deputy Governor said. Going forward, we need to make things easier so the public is more informed. We also need to be more proactive in notifying heirs so they don't have to wait too long to receive BPJS Ketenagakerjaan benefits," Sudarwoto said.
