Deputy Governor Erwan Encourages Construction Service Providers to Be More Professional and Quality-Oriented

PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Deputy Governor of West Java, Erwan Setiawan, officially opened the 14th Regional Conference (MUSDA) of the West Java GAPENSI BPD in 2026 which took place at the Aryaduta Hotel, Jalan Sumatera No. 51, Bandung City, Monday (15/6/2026).

The regional conference, which carried the theme "Building a Financially Intelligent Generation from an Early Age," was held in conjunction with the end of the term of office of the West Java BPD GAPENSI management for the 2021–2026 period.

This activity is an important momentum for the organization to conduct evaluations, consolidation, and also elect a new management that will lead GAPENSI West Java for the next five years.

In his remarks, West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan expressed his appreciation to GAPENSI West Java, which has been a strategic partner of the West Java Provincial Government (Pemda) in supporting development, especially in the construction services sector.

"On behalf of the West Java Provincial Government, I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to GAPENSI West Java, which has been a strategic partner of the regional government in development, particularly in the construction services sector," said Deputy Governor Erwan.

According to him, the construction sector plays a very important role in regional development because it is the foundation for the birth of various infrastructure, public facilities, and supporting facilities for economic progress and public services.

"The regional development we are promoting today would not be possible without the support of professional, competitive, and highly integrated construction service providers," he said.

Erwan Setiawan emphasized that GAPENSI is not just a professional organization, but an important part of the development ecosystem in West Java.

Therefore, MUSDA is the right momentum to strengthen the organization's solidity while increasing the capacity of its members in facing various challenges that continue to develop.

He believes that the construction world is currently facing increasingly complex demands, ranging from work quality, efficiency, work safety, transparency, to the use of technology in every construction process.

"GAPENSI is required to continue moving and improving to have strong competitiveness and continue to uphold business ethics," he said.

The West Java Provincial Government, Erwan continued, hopes that GAPENSI can continue to encourage the emergence of superior construction service providers who comply with regulations and are oriented towards the quality of their work results.

"Good development is not just about being completed quickly, but also about being solid, beneficial, and providing a sense of security for the community," he stressed.

On that occasion, Erwan also emphasized the importance of synergy between the regional government and the business world, including the construction services sector, so that infrastructure development in West Java is not only oriented towards achieving physical targets, but also has a real impact on improving community welfare, creating jobs, and regional economic growth.

He hopes that the new management resulting from the 14th MUSDA can immediately compile a work program that is in line with the programs of the central government and the West Java Provincial Government, so that the collaboration that is established can provide wider benefits for the community.

Concluding his remarks, the number two person in West Java hoped that the entire series of the 14th MUSDA BPD GAPENSI West Java would run smoothly, democratically, and produce the best decisions for the progress of the organization.
