PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan is targeting a safe homecoming trip, smooth traffic flow, and stable food prices for this year's Eid al-Fitr. To achieve these targets, all parties must work together solidly.

This was stated by Erwan when attending the Cross-Sectoral Coordination Meeting (Rakor) for Operations in the Framework of Readiness for Operation Ketupat 2026 at the West Java Regional Police Hall, Monday (2/3/2026).

The coordination meeting brought together all stakeholders, namely the TNI, Polri, Regional Government, BMKG, Basarnas, Pertamina, Jasa Marga, Jasa Raharja, and others.

Erwan said, to ensure smooth traffic during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming, the West Java Provincial Government is improving road infrastructure and mitigating natural disasters.

The West Java Provincial Government has also mapped points prone to congestion and accidents in detail.

In addition to ensuring smooth traffic flow, the West Java Provincial Government is also focusing on food price stability ahead of Eid al-Fitr. Erwan has asked relevant parties to ensure smooth food distribution to prevent shortages or price increases.

The West Java Provincial Government is ready to fully support the steps prepared by the police in facing the Eid al-Fitr homecoming.

"We will ensure that all relevant regional agencies act quickly and responsively in carrying out their respective duties," he said.

According to Erwan, West Java has unique characteristics because it is both a destination and a transit point for the homecoming (mudik) movement. Every Eid al-Fitr, millions of people move in and out of West Java.
