PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Deputy Governor of West Java Erwan Setiawan received the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) West Java Representative who conducted a working visit to discuss cooperation with the West Java Provincial Government at Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Wednesday (16/4/2025).

"Yes, today I have received a visit from the DPD RI West Java Representative Office. I hope that cooperation will continue between the West Java Provincial Government and the DPD RI," said Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan.

Erwan said that the performance of the DPD RI has an important role in representing regional interests at the national level.

"Of course, the DPD RI has the function of supervision, submitting proposals, and providing considerations on regional-related bills, as well as absorbing regional aspirations. Thank you for your visit, hopefully the cooperation between the DPD RI and the West Java Provincial Government will be more synergistic," said Erwan.

On the same occasion, the Head of the West Java DPD RI Office, Herman Hermawan, said that the visit was in order to discuss the five-year cooperation between the DPD RI and the West Java Provincial Government.

Herman revealed that even though it was the first time he had met with the leadership of the Governor and Deputy Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi-Erwan Setiawan, the meeting was expected to have a positive impact.

"Even the relationship between the DPD RI and the West Java Provincial Government is getting closer and better. Moreover, the aspirations of the community and regions can be conveyed to the Central Government through the role of the DPD RI," said Herman.
