PORTALJABAR, SUMEDANG REGENCY - Deputy Governor of West Java, Erwan Setiawan, reviewed the homecoming flow at the Ciakar Terminal, Sumedang Regency, Thursday (3/27/2025). During his visit, he ensured the readiness of the Integrated Post that had been prepared to serve homecoming travelers.

Deputy Governor Erwan assessed that preparations at the Ciakar Terminal were very good, including health check facilities for residents who had just arrived from other regions.

"Alhamdulillah, today I reviewed the homecoming flow at the Ciakar Sumedang Terminal. The preparations have been very thorough and until now the situation is still under control," said Deputy Governor Erwan.

To ensure that the Integrated Post service runs optimally, Erwan gave instructions to the Terminal Head to pay attention to the health of travelers until they arrive safely in their hometowns.

"I have given directions to the Head of the Terminal, considering that residents continue to arrive. If travelers arrive at night and want to go to a vulnerable area, they should rest first at the terminal before continuing their journey the next morning," he said.

Furthermore, he revealed that this year's homecoming flow is not only focused on one point. Based on his monitoring while crossing the Cisumdawu Toll Road, traffic conditions are still relatively smooth.

"Alhamdulillah, the Cisumdawu Toll Road is still running smoothly without any traffic jams. Hopefully this condition can be maintained, considering that the readiness of the Indonesian Police Traffic Corps is very good, so that there is no congestion at one point," he said.

Deputy Governor Erwan appealed to the public to always maintain their health during the trip, ensure that private vehicles are in roadworthy condition, and book tickets in advance for those using public transportation.

"I urge all West Java residents who will be going home to maintain their health. If using private vehicles, make sure they are in roadworthy condition. Meanwhile, for those using public transportation, it is better to book tickets well in advance so as not to run out," he concluded.
