PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan expressed his gratitude for Persib Bandung's achievement in becoming the 2025/2026 Super League champion, after being held to a goalless draw by Persijap Jepara, in the final week's match at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium, Bandung, Saturday (23/5/2026) at 16.00 WIB.
This result was enough for Persib Bandung to win the 2025/2026 Super League title for the third time in a row (a hat trick).
With this result, Bojan Hodak's team is in first place with 79 points. Persib has a head-to-head advantage over Borneo FC, who also has 79 points in second place.
"Thank God, we really appreciate this hat-trick achievement," said Erwan, Sunday (May 24, 2026).
He expressed his gratitude to all elements of society who had supported Persib Bandung in winning the championship.
"First, I would like to thank all the players, coaches, PT PBB management, and the Bobotoh (fans) who have loyally supported Persib Bandung, enabling them to retain their title for the third consecutive year," said Erwan.
Persib's five-star achievement is a source of extraordinary pride, a feat rarely achieved by other Indonesian clubs. The Deputy Governor hopes Persib Bandung can achieve success on the international stage.
"I hope Persib Bandung can perform even better and achieve even higher levels. We'll be competing in ASEAN, so Persib won't just be good in the Indonesian League. Last year was quite good, but at least we can reach the semifinals in the ACL," the Deputy Governor concluded.
Erwan said he had held discussions with management regarding plans to build a Persib museum at the GBLA Stadium.
