PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - The Bogor Regency Government is moving quickly to follow up on the infrastructure needs of residents by immediately building a connecting bridge between Cihideung Village, Petir Village, Dramaga District.

This step was taken as an effort to facilitate educational accessibility for elementary and junior high school students in Sempur Village, RT01/RW04, as well as to support the smooth running of economic activities in the surrounding community.

Bogor Deputy Regent (Wabup), Jaro Ade, conducted a direct inspection of the temporary bridge construction site on Friday (18/4/2025).

Jaro Ade said that some time ago he received a video call from residents who reported the condition of school children, especially students from Petir 4 Elementary School and junior high school students, who have to cross this area every day.

Therefore, the need for this Rawayan suspension bridge is very urgent.

"Alhamdulillah, today I directly inspected the location and I was able to perform Friday prayers in Cihideung Udik Village and meet with community leaders," he said.

The Deputy Regent of Bogor also expressed his appreciation to the community who took the initiative to build a temporary bridge from bamboo.

However, he stressed that the bridge was emergency and had limited durability, especially during the rainy season or floods.

"I saw firsthand the enthusiasm of the residents, there were even community leaders who willingly donated their land for road access. This is extraordinary and deserves to be appreciated," he explained.

According to him, the construction of this bridge will not only facilitate access for students, but will also open up new economic routes for the people of the two villages which are known to have good food security.

"This is not only about education, but also about strengthening the community's economy. Therefore, the initial stage will be the construction of a Rawayan bridge, and in the future it will be upgraded to a permanent bridge that can be crossed by four-wheeled vehicles," he added.

Jaro Ade also emphasized that he immediately reported the results of this visit to the Regent of Bogor.

"Our working hours are flexible, because the task of the regional head is to serve the community without knowing holidays. We are ready to move quickly according to the direction of Presidential Instruction Number 1 on efficiency and acceleration of priority programs," he concluded.

The Bogor Regency Government is committed to continuing to be present and responsive to the needs of residents in order to realize equitable development.
