PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Deputy Regent of Bogor, Jaro Ade, directly inspected the location of the collapsed bridge in Gobang Village, Rumpin District, Thursday (16/4/2026).

The bridge collapsed due to the strong river current, due to the high rainfall in recent times.

Jaro Ade was present with members of the Bogor Regency DPRD accompanied by the Assistant for Economics and Development (Ekbang), the Head of Rumpin District, and the Head of Gobang Village.

Jaro Ade's visit was a form of rapid response from the Bogor Regency Government to the disaster that disrupted community access and activities in Rumpin.

Deputy Regent Jaro Ade expressed his concern over the disaster, particularly for residents living along the riverbanks who were directly affected by the incident. He urged the public to temporarily avoid occupying homes in vulnerable areas to avoid greater risk.

"The Bogor Regency Government expresses its condolences over this disaster. We urge residents living along the riverbanks to temporarily evacuate their homes to prevent any untoward incidents," said Jaro Ade.

Jaro Ade emphasized that the collapsed bridge was a vital access for residents' mobility and supported the village's economic activities.

Therefore, he said, the Bogor Regency Government will immediately take swift action, both through emergency response and planning to rebuild the bridge.

"We will take swift action to restore public access, both through emergency response and planning for permanent bridge construction," he added.

In addition to inspecting the location, the group also distributed basic food aid to affected residents as a form of government concern and presence in the community facing the disaster.
