PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Following up on the direction and instructions of Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto, Bogor Deputy Regent Jaro Ade, conducted a direct review of several natural disaster points of floods and landslides in the Bojongkulur Village and Cipayung Girang Village areas, Tuesday (4/3/2025).
This review aims to see the current conditions and evacuate residents affected by the disaster.
Ade said that currently his party has conducted a review and evacuation to several points. Although it only happened about three months ago, the Bogor Regency Government (Pemdakab) continues to encourage residents in risk areas to be evacuated immediately to safer areas, including those closer to Bekasi.
Ade also revealed that there are still some residents who choose to stay, even though the condition of their homes is threatened.
"There are several houses that are still standing even though they are in the affected location. But for toddlers, children and the elderly, we have all successfully evacuated them. Thank you to the village head, sub-district head together with Muspika, TNI Polri, their handling is extraordinary," he said.
Ade also appreciated the evacuation team and the community who had worked together in dealing with this disaster.
"We appreciate the hard work of the team that has worked tirelessly. Hopefully the team will always be given health and safety," he said.
It is known that in Bojongkulur Village, the number of residents affected by the disaster reached around 4,792 people. Bojongkulur Village has a fairly large population in Gunung Putri District, and although many residents have been evacuated, there are still some who remain, especially because of the goods they have.
Regarding further handling efforts, Ade ensured that evacuation posts, public kitchens, and other assistance had been prepared.
"We have held a coordination meeting with the Sub-district Head and Muspika, including the TNI and Polri, to ensure that the needs of affected residents can be met immediately. This is a test for all of us, and we must work together to resolve this disaster problem with solid cooperation between the government, organizations, and the community," he said.
Ade emphasized that for the short term, the main priority is the safety of residents, by ensuring that all those who need medical assistance and evacuation can be met.
"The local government will continue to intervene, together with the community and the private sector, to help in handling this disaster, both in the short and long term," he said.
He said that the Bogor Regency Government (Pemdakab) will continue to monitor developments in the situation and ensure that maximum assistance and support is provided to residents affected by this natural disaster.
