PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government is committed to improving access and quality of health services, especially in the northern region, through the development of the Cabangbungin Regional General Hospital (RSUD).
During a working visit on (22/4/2025), the Deputy Regent (Wabup) of Bekasi fully supported the improvement of facilities and the upgrade of the class of Cabangbungin Regional Hospital to a type C hospital.
The Deputy Regent directly reviewed the condition of the services and facilities of the Regional Public Hospital which is the mainstay of the community in the area.
"Cababungin Regional Public Hospital has a strategic role because it not only serves the residents of Bekasi Regency, but also the surrounding areas," he said.
He said the hospital has great potential to be developed into a multi-storey building to expand service capacity.
"We will push for improved facilities to be able to serve more patients, including those from outside the region," he explained.
He also emphasized the importance of prioritizing infrastructure development over improving human resources.
"Many patients have to wait a long time because of limited treatment space, and some still use wheelchairs because there are no beds available," he said.
The Director of Cabangbungin Regional Hospital revealed that the current bed occupancy rate has exceeded 80 percent.
Based on the feasibility study and master plan that has been prepared, this regional hospital is worthy of being upgraded to a type C hospital.
"We plan to add 100 to 110 beds, including inpatient rooms, ICU, PICU, and NICU which are much needed," he explained. (Diskominfosantik Kab. Bekasi/Fau)
