PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan has temporarily restricted the Integrated Passive Infrastructure excavation project until March 5, 2026 to ensure the safety of residents ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

Muhammad Farhan took this policy after receiving public complaints regarding open potholes and traffic disruptions on a number of roads.

He requires all excavation points that have been worked on to be tidied up first so as not to endanger road users.

Muhammad Farhan emphasized, "We're temporarily limiting the closure until March 5th. However, we must note that all excavated areas must be tidied up. Nothing can be left uncovered and endanger residents."

The Bandung City Government has ensured that the acceleration of the firefighting process will be carried out before the significant increase in Eid mobility.

PT Bandung Infra Investastama is accelerating work on several road sections so that all excavations can be properly covered.

Muhammad Farhan stated, "We are currently expediting the road sections undergoing excavation. The goal is to have them in good condition and safe to use before Eid."

This policy provides direct benefits in the form of safer roads, reduced risk of accidents, and smoother homecoming activities for residents.

This step also addresses the concerns of the public who were previously worried about the condition of potholes on the roads ahead of the holidays.
