PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan confirmed that his health continues to improve. He also resumed his normal activities on Monday (July 13, 2026).
On the first day of the new school year, Farhan even visited several schools. These included SMP Negeri 3, SMP Negeri 10, SD Negeri 047, and SMP Negeri 43 in Bandung City.
Farhan admitted that he had experienced an infection in his digestive tract which triggered stomach problems and ultimately resulted in vertigo attacks.
"After laboratory examination, it turned out there was a digestive infection that triggered the ulcer, then the ulcer triggered vertigo," he said, Monday (13/7).
He explained that when vertigo attacks, the eyeballs move uncontrollably, causing a spinning sensation that makes him unable to walk on his own.
"Vertigo makes us feel like everything is spinning, so I had to be carried," he said.
Farhan admitted that he had undergone a two-day rest period on the instructions of the medical team and the Bandung City Health Service.
During the recovery period, he was asked to reduce his activities and stay around the Pendopo.
However, he has returned to carrying out his duties with an agenda that is not too far from the city government center.
He also expressed his appreciation for the public's prayers and concern for his health condition.
On that occasion, Farhan revealed that on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, he planned to convey a number of developments in the Bandung City Government's strategic programs.
These include the regulation of advertising banners, the regulation of illegal buildings, the regulation of overhead cables, and various other developments in the city of Bandung.
