PORTALJABAR, BOGOR CITY - Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim appreciated the Regional Public Company Tirta Pakuan of Bogor City which obtained a halal certificate for its drinking water processing process to increase public trust in clean water services (9/3/2026).

Dedie explained that the halal certificate covers the entire water processing process, from raw water collection to the point where it is ready for public use.

He said this achievement was an important achievement for Perumda Tirta Pakuan in maintaining the quality of the city's drinking water services.

Dedie ensures that the public does not need to have any doubts about the clean water processing process they use every day.

Perumda Tirta Pakuan's services currently reach around 200,000 customers from a total of 300,000 family cards in Bogor City.

The city government is targeting increased service capacity so that more residents have access to clean water.

The Main Secretary of the Republic of Indonesia Halal Product Guarantee Agency, Muhammad Aqil Irham, explained that halal certification also reflects product hygiene and quality standards.

Aqil stated that halal certification makes consumers feel safe, comfortable, and confident in the quality of the products they use.

The President Director of Perumda Tirta Pakuan, Bogor City, Rino Indira Gusniawan, explained that the company previously obtained a halal certificate in 2016.

Perumda Tirta Pakuan is renewing its certification as a commitment to maintaining the quality of service to customers.

Rino emphasized that the company wants to ensure that the water processing process meets health, technical, and sharia standards.

This step is expected to strengthen public trust in clean water services managed by local governments.
