PORTALJABAR, BOGOR CITY - Bogor Mayor, Dedie A. Rachim, invited the public to use Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah as a momentum to forgive each other, strengthen ties, and improve relationships that may have been strained.

In addition, Dedie Rachim also invited everyone to work together to maintain harmony, respect each other, and contribute to building a safe, comfortable, and blessed environment.

He conveyed this while giving various information while waiting for the Eid prayer time at the Bogor Botanical Gardens, Monday (31/3/2025).

"Today, the echo of takbir, tahlil, and tahmid resounds throughout the world. Muslims are grateful for the blessings of Allah SWT who has reunited us with the day of victory, Eid al-Fitr 1446 H," said Dedie Rachim starting Berbagainya.

He added, from the bottom of his heart, on behalf of himself, his family, and the Bogor City Government (Pemkot), he wishes everyone a Happy Eid al-Fitr 1 Shawwal 1446 Hijriah.

"Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum, shiyamana wa shiyamakum. Minal 'Aidin wal Faizin. Please forgive me physically and mentally. May happiness and blessings always accompany us," he said.

Eid al-Fitr, continued Dedie Rachim, is a sacred moment to return to nature, cleanse the heart, and strengthen brotherhood.

After a month of practicing self-restraint and caring for others, now is the time to continue the values of Ramadan in everyday life.

Dedie Rachim emphasized that Eid al-Fitr is not only the end of fasting, but also the beginning of strengthening relationships and fostering concern among humanity.

According to Dedie Rachim, there is a long journey that makes someone understand that Eid is not always happy.

Some people are lost, some people don't come home, some wander without being satisfied, some have lonely homes, some miss laughter, some don't know what to do.

"It turns out that the meaning of Eid is to forgive everything. Forgiving circumstances, forgiving events, forgiving unhappiness. This time the vastness of the world gives us one more thing, that sometimes we have to celebrate life with laughter, sometimes with tears," he said.
