PORTALJABAR, BOGOR CITY - The Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A. Rachim, signed the Mayor's Regulation (Perwali) Number 11 of 2026 concerning the Rationalization, Rejuvenation, and Elimination of Public Motorized Vehicles on Routes in the Paseban Punta Room, Bogor City Hall, Monday (15/6/2026).
The signing of the Mayoral Regulation was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Jenal Mutaqin, and witnessed by the Land Transportation Organization (Organda) of Bogor City, the Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI) of Bogor City, the ranks of the Bogor City Transportation Agency, and the Legal and Human Rights Section of the Bogor City Regional Secretariat.
Dedie Rachim explained that this Mayoral Regulation is a follow-up to Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 8 of 2023 concerning Transportation and is the result of communication and discussions with various parties, so that the aspirations of business actors and transportation drivers can be accommodated.
"Business owners and drivers have had sufficient time to prepare. From the time the Regional Regulation was passed until this Mayoral Regulation was issued, we have been continuously conducting outreach. Starting today, there is no longer any space for public transportation vehicles older than 20 years to operate in Bogor City," said Dedie Rachim.
He emphasized that the implementation of the Mayoral Regulation will be followed by joint operations to ensure that city transportation vehicles that have passed the age limit are no longer operating.
According to him, this policy is part of an effort to organize transportation in a more orderly manner and in accordance with public expectations.
"Going forward, there will be no more congestion of public transportation vehicles or the practice of indiscriminate parking. This is a major step towards making Bogor City more orderly, more advanced, and more modern," he said.
After the restriction process is complete, the Bogor City Government will continue the restructuring phase by rejuvenating the fleet and aligning transportation modes with community needs, as well as developing more modern and environmentally friendly transportation.
Bogor Deputy Mayor Jenal Mutaqin said the government's current focus is to stop operating city transportation vehicles that are over 20 years old.
"Once the decommissioning process is complete, we'll discuss rejuvenation and replacement with new modes of transportation. So, our focus today is on decommissioning public transportation (angkot) that are over 20 years old," said General Mutaqin.
He added that the technical aspects of enforcement in the field would be regulated through a decree establishing an operational team involving elements of the Bogor City Government and the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda).
"This team will soon be formed and disseminated to all transportation operators to ensure the restructuring process runs smoothly," he said.
This phase of public transportation restructuring in Bogor City also received support from Organda, KNPI, and various community groups in an effort to provide safer, more comfortable, and higher-quality transportation services for Bogor residents.
