PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan evaluated citizen participation and health service achievements in the 85th Disaster Alert Siskamling in Kebon Gedang Subdistrict (27/2/2026) as a step to improve the empowerment program at the Residents' Association level.

The forum opened a direct dialogue between citizens and the government to discuss the low level of community involvement in a number of regional programs.

The Head of the 06 Residents' Association said that resident participation was still minimal and no one was willing to become a Gaslah officer.

The regional apparatus present noted these issues as evaluation material based on the real needs of the community.

Muhammad Farhan stated that the government will investigate the causes of low citizen engagement with members of the Regional People's Representative Council.

"We want to approach members of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) to see what's going on. It's possible that government programs aren't appealing to the community. We'll investigate RW 06 in more depth," said Farhan.

The discussion also highlighted the data-based Initiative program down to the neighborhood association level to ensure that aid reaches the right targets.

Officers update data every three months so that changes in residents' socio-economic conditions can be detected immediately.

"In three months, we will conduct a re-registration," said Farhan.

2025 data shows that of the 1,534 residents of Rukun Warga 08, 619 people have a Social Health Security Administration Agency with an activity rate of 78.45 percent.

"Thank God, it's not low, but our target is 80 percent," said Farhan.

He explained that increasing participant activity has a direct impact on strengthening Universal Health Coverage so that all citizens receive health services.

The data collection also found that two houses did not have septic tanks and this will be followed up immediately through the available sanitation program.

Residents welcomed this forum because their aspirations were immediately responded to and followed up in a measured manner.

The Disaster Preparedness Neighborhood Security System (Siskamling) is now a data-driven policy evaluation tool to gradually resolve basic regional issues and provide tangible benefits to the community. (Bandung City Communications and Information Office/bhf)
