PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Head of the Regional Revenue Management Center (P3DW) of Garut Regency Ervin Yanuardi Effendi appealed to the public to take advantage of the remaining 10 days of the 2024 West Java Motor Vehicle Tax Amnesty Program (PKB) which will end on November 30.

"Today is November 20, which means there are approximately 10 days left. So, please go to all people, especially the people of Garut, to take advantage of this program," said Ervin after becoming a resource person in the FOKUS Talkshow Volume 57 of Radio Intan Garut, Wednesday (11/20/2024).

He appreciated the high enthusiasm of the Garut community in utilizing this program.

"Public awareness to pay taxes has increased significantly. Thank you to the citizens who have been obedient in paying taxes," he said.

Head of Jasa Raharja Samsat Garut Nia Purnamasari assessed that the 2024 PKB Amnesty Program also supports the increase in Mandatory Contributions to Road Traffic Accident Funds (SWDKLLJ), which are used to manage traffic accident funds.

"With this amnesty program, apart from motor vehicle tax, SWDKLLJ is also expected to increase, so public compliance will also increase," he said.

Head of the Garut Police Registration Unit, Ipda Wiki Sapari, expressed his support for the program initiated by the West Java Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), so that when controlling vehicles whose taxes have expired, his party can immediately urge the person concerned to pay their taxes by utilizing the 2024 West Java PKB Amnesty program.

According to him, there are several challenges faced when conducting traffic operations or raids, one of which is when drivers whose taxes have been paid late and ignore traffic regulations, take actions that can endanger themselves or others.

"Finally, he turns back or whatever, that is also very dangerous and we also urge that if it is indeed wrong, it is better to immediately settle the taxes of those who have died," he said.

According to him, this program not only lightens the burden on the community but also encourages orderly traffic.

"We hope that with this tax amnesty, the public will be more obedient in paying taxes on time, and not delay if they have the means to pay their taxes immediately, because this tax is also for the public," he said.

The 2024 West Java PKB Amnesty Program is one of the relaxations provided by the West Java Provincial Government, in this case by the West Java Bapenda for PKB, which runs from October 1, 2024 to November 30, 2024.

The 2024 West Java PKB Amnesty Program includes five relaxation points, including:
1. Free Change of Name of Second Vehicle (BBNKB II).
2. Free from PKB fines.
3. Free of principal arrears for the 3rd, 4th, 5th and so on.
4. Free from SWDKLLJ fines for missed years.
5. PKB Discount.

This program is an effort by the West Java Provincial Government through Bapenda to ease the burden on the community while increasing tax awareness.

With time running out, the people of Garut are expected to immediately take advantage of this program for the sake of orderly administration and supporting regional development.
