PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The 2026 West Java Expo (WJX) proceeded with encouraging results. Total transaction value reached Rp477.3 billion, equivalent to USD26.4 million, consisting of retail transactions of USD974,000, large transactions resulting from Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) of USD21.6 million, potential transactions of USD2.6 million, and a total transaction value of USD1.2 million from the Road to WJX activities.

This achievement strengthens the opportunities for West Java's superior products to reach international markets while opening up broader trade cooperation opportunities. WJX 2026 will once again be held in conjunction with the 41st Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI), the largest trade exhibition in Indonesia. This collaboration is a strategy of the West Java Provincial Government.
West Java (Jabar) through the West Java Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) to expand the promotion of regional products and bring together business actors with potential buyers from various countries.

Carrying the theme "The Ultimate Hub for Global Sourcing", WJX is a forum for West Java business actors to expand their business networks, increase product added value, and open up export opportunities, including to non-traditional markets.

This year, 40 West Java businesses participated in WJX 2026, bringing products from four sectors: fashion, home decor, personal care, and food and beverage. The presence of the West Java pavilion at TEI also expanded the promotional reach to international buyers and investors.

Coffee, cloves, skincare, tea, and cocoa products were among the most popular commodities. The food and beverage sector dominated transactions with Rp409.48 billion, followed by personal care with Rp21.36 billion, fashion and accessories with Rp21.34 billion, and furniture and home decor with Rp1.03 billion.

19 Export Deals Over USD 21 Million

During the five-day event, held from October 14–18, 2026, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City in Tangerang Regency, Banten, West Java businesses signed 19 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with buyers from several countries. The largest transaction was recorded by PT Inti Gravfarm Indonesia with a Chinese buyer for coffee beans, valued at USD 10,000,000, or approximately IDR 180.4 billion.

Another major deal came from PT Mekar Saluyu Group for cloves to India, valued at USD 9.24 million (approximately IDR 166.7 billion). Both deals demonstrate the international market opportunities for West Java's leading commodities, particularly plantation products such as coffee and cloves.

Several other businesses have also established trade agreements. PT Melania Indonesia is exploring the tea market with buyers from Japan, Malaysia, China, and Dubai. Meanwhile, PT Brilian Zenco is offering chocolate products to Pakistan, PT Pavettia Nuansa Alami is exploring the Malaysian market for organic lipstick, and PT Trikarya Budaya Indonesia has entered into a deal for women's sportswear products with Malaysia.

These various agreements were supported through business matching sessions that brought together West Java business actors with potential buyers from various markets, including the United Arab Emirates, Senegal, Thailand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Pakistan. This business meeting covered the food and beverage, personal care, and fashion sectors.

Win Awards

In addition to recording trade transactions and agreements, West Java's participation in TEI 2026 also saw awards for businesses and local governments. PT Azaki Food Internasional received the 2026 Primaniyarta Award in the Halal Product Exporter category. The company has exported its products to 13 countries and previously participated in the Export Coaching Program (ECP) in 2022 through the West Java Province Certificate of Origin Issuing Agency (IPSKA).

The Primaniyarta Award is a form of appreciation from the Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Ministry of Trade to exporters, diaspora, and regional heads who contribute to encouraging non-oil and gas exports and expanding international market access.

On the same occasion, the West Java Department of Industry and Trade received an award as a Strategic Partner Supporting the Export Assistance Program from the Center for Human Resources Training.
Export Human Resources and Trade Services (PPEJP), under the Trade Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMP) of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade.

The award recognizes the role of the West Java Department of Industry and Trade in facilitating, curating, and assisting businesses in participating in export development programs, including the ECP. This assistance is expected to help businesses improve product readiness and business capacity to compete in the global market.
