PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BEKASI - Acting The Regent of Bekasi, Dani Ramdan accompanied by the Head of the Department of Water Resources for Highways and Construction (DSDABMBK) Henri Lincoln, immediately inspected the condition of the Rasmi River which had been normalized by the Bekasi Regional Government at the Puri Nirwana Residence Housing Complex, Sukaraya Village, Karanghapi District, on Thursday (25/4 /2024).

The normalization that has been carried out is at three river points at once starting from Kalen Rasmi, Kali Ulu and Kali Pisang Batu.

After reviewing the Acting Regent of Bekasi, Dani Ramdan said that the normalization target was carried out to reduce the impact of flooding which often occurs in housing complexes. Apart from reducing the impact of flooding, the efforts made are also aimed at smoothing the flow of rice field irrigation water for agriculture and returning the river to its original condition.

The Bekasi Regional Government will normalize several rivers that are experiencing narrowing and silting. So that every volume of river flow can run smoothly and optimally.

"Yes, we will continue to carry out normalization upstream to other river sections so that all water flows and management in Bekasi Regency can be even better," explained Dani.

In the same place, the Head of the Bekasi Regency Water Resources and Construction Development Service (DSDABMBK), Henri Lincoln, said that there are four river flows that lead to the Ciherang River, including Kalen Rasmi, Kali Ulu, Kali Pisang Batu and Kali Ciherang.

The implementation period is 120 days starting from March 20 to July 17 2024.
