PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin officially inaugurated the West Java Province Flag Raising Troops (Paskibraka) who will be on duty at the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia which is planned to be held at Gasibu Field, Bandung City, Saturday (17/8/2024).
A total of 52 Paskibraka members representing 27 districts/cities throughout West Java have been forged in their spirit of nationalism, patriotism, and leadership.
The Paskibraka members have also gone through various stages of selection, starting from national insight tests, general intelligence, fitness, health, parades, PBB, interviews and a series of other tests.
One of the members of the West Java Province Paskibraka, a representative from Majalengka Regency, Naufal Fadhil Mufarrijan Nugraha, admitted that he was happy and proud to be selected as one of the West Java Province Paskibraka this year.
The most memorable thing for him during the series of West Java Paskibraka activities was that he tried to adapt to the situation and conditions which he thought were new and increased his insight.
He also enjoys learning new things while participating in a series of activities ranging from physical endurance training, discipline, and morality to build a strong mentality.
Leadership training is also important for him as the young generation of West Java to face future world challenges.
"The people closest to me support me. I know that many people in my area also support me, so I am enthusiastic about carrying out my duties as best I can," said Naufal at Gedung Sate, Bandung City, after the inauguration ceremony by the Acting Governor of West Java, Wednesday (14/8) afternoon.
He also revealed the meaning of independence for him, namely when every individual or society can feel safe, comfortable, and peaceful in their country.
Another member of the West Java Paskibraka, a representative from the City of Bogor, Rhibka, also admitted that he was happy and proud because he was trusted to carry out the task as the Flag Raising Troop at the West Java Province level.
"The most memorable thing was getting to know new friends from various cities/regencies in West Java, meeting very pleasant coaches, and doing various activities that were new to me," said Rhibka.
Just like Naufal, he also admitted to receiving support from the people around him, starting from his family, friends, his coach in Bogor City to the coach in West Java Province.
"Hopefully, West Java Province will always be victorious, remain prosperous and increasingly advanced," said Rhibka.
In understanding independence, Rhibka wants the young generation or the nation's children to be free to explore their abilities and be able to fight for everything that is best for the nation and state.
