He emphasized the importance of society's active role in fighting drugs, and reminded that this effort must start with oneself and one's family.
"Starting from ourselves who have self-resilience, have immunity, are able to reject drugs, are able to reject drug abuse, try by using it, using it regularly, by the environment, by friends who are not clean from drugs, we must be able to reject drugs," he said in a Live event. He also reminded the public to care about their families, so that family members can also be clean from drugs.
Deni continued, various steps taken by Garut BNNK in dealing with drugs, including the dissemination of information and education through the strategy of Prevention, Eradication, Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking (P4GN) as an effort to create community immunity in fighting drugs.
"The people of Garut must have cognitive awareness about how the people of Garut must have the power to resist the temptation of drug abuse, including illicit trafficking," he said.
Ahead of International Anti-Narcotics Day (HANI) on June 26, Deni outlined plans for activities to commemorate this as a moment of public concern and to strengthen ranks in working together to create a world free from drugs, including a declaration of collective resistance by the Garut fishing community against abuse and illicit trafficking. drugs.
He also explained two types of prevention efforts carried out by the Garut BNNK. First, demand reduction which focuses on breaking the chain of drug users through building immunity, empowering communities and rehabilitating addicts. Second, supply reduction which aims to stop the illegal circulation of drugs with strict law enforcement.
"We are preparing a rehabilitation institution that is able to serve people who have already become addicts, abusers, to be cured so that they do not become addicts and do not become dependent on illegal narcotics," he said.
His party invites all Garut people to move together to fight drugs in order to create an environment that is clean from drugs.
"Let's move together against drugs to create a drug-free society. Garut, West Java, Indonesia is drug-free," he said.
