PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto attended the coordination meeting (rakor) Gawe Rancage Pak Kades jeung Pak Lurah in order to improve the role of Village Heads and Sub-district Heads throughout West Java Province, at the Bale Asri Pusdai Building, Bandung City, Monday (28/4/2025).
The coordination meeting discussed strategies to reduce poverty rates, stunting, maternal and infant mortality rates, maternal mortality rates, solving waste and environmental problems, and increasing family planning participation in West Java.
Rudy was present with a number of regional apparatus heads, sub-district heads, village heads, and village heads throughout Bogor Regency.
The coordination meeting was opened by the Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions of the Republic of Indonesia, filled with materials by the Governor of West Java, Minister of Social Affairs, Minister of Health, Minister of Environment, and Minister of Population and Family Development. Also present were the Regents and Mayors of West Java.
Opening the Coordination Meeting, the Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions of the Republic of Indonesia Yandri Susanto said that if all villages in West Java advance, Indonesia will advance. He hopes that all parties will succeed in President Prabowo's sixth Asta Cita, namely building from the village and from below for economic equality and poverty eradication.
"The problems of unemployment, poverty, stunting, agriculture, food security, all exist in the village. So if we surround the village to provide solutions to these problems, God willing, the problems in Indonesia will be resolved," he said.
Yandri added, the Ministry of Villages now has a tagline, namely, "Build Villages, Build Indonesia, Leading Villages for Indonesia". We want to learn from our two friendly countries, namely Japan and South Korea today.
West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi said, solving the problems of West Java means solving the problems of Indonesia, its population is almost 50 million. Poverty in West Java is finished, poverty in Indonesia is finished, Family Planning in West Java is finished, Family Planning in Indonesia is finished.
"Then the maternal and child mortality rate is finished or even zero, then in Indonesia it is finished, stunting in West Java is finished, stunting in Indonesia is finished, garbage in West Java is finished, in Indonesia it is finished. So if you want to solve the problem in Indonesia, start by building a Special West Java," he said.
KDM - Dedi Mulyadi's nickname - revealed that each village has different needs, so they must start having precise village data. KDM proposed to the minister that village assistance be adjusted to the needs of the village.
