BOGOR - The Regent of Bogor, Iwan Setiawan conveyed various physical and non-physical development progress in Bogor Regency during the 2018 - 2023 Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) period, at the 2023 End of Year Reflection event at the Tegar Beriman Building, Cibinong (27/12/ 2023).

One of them is the Human Development Index (HDI) figure for Bogor Regency which rose to 73.02 points and is in the "high" category.

Iwan Setiawan explained that at the end of 2023, it will be five years since the 2018-2023 RPJMD period which is full of ups and downs, dynamics and challenges. Thank God, we are witnessing various advances in physical and non-physical development in Bogor Regency.

“The Human Development Index (HDI) is an indicator for measuring the success of development. In 2018, the HDI for Bogor Regency was 69.69 points or the "Medium" category. "Now in 2023 it will be at 73.02 points or an increase of 3.33 points and is in the high category," explained Iwan Setiawan.

Iwan said that the increase in Bogor Regency's HDI in 2023 will occur in all dimensions, including longevity and healthy living, knowledge and decent living standards. We should be grateful for this increase considering the wide span of control and the 2018-2023 RPJMD was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The Economic Growth Rate (LPE) of Bogor Regency, which during the pandemic had fallen to minus 1.76 percent, is now at 5.25 percent. The poverty rate is at 7.27 percent after increasing drastically to 8.13 percent during the pandemic. "The stunting rate fell from 19.08 percent to 1.59 percent in five years," said Iwan.

Iwan said, for four years in a row, Bogor Regency was named the most innovative district in the Innovative Government Award (IGA) event by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Furthermore, he won 289 awards at provincial, national, international and non-governmental levels, in various fields including agriculture, food security, education, health, religion, archives, environment, information openness, digitalization, meritocracy and so on.

"In 2018 there were still 45 underdeveloped villages, currently there are no more underdeveloped villages, and Bogor Regency has been designated as a developed district by the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia," he added.
