PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Garut Regent Abdusy Syakur Amin received a courtesy visit from the Head of the Regional Revenue Management Center (P3DW) or Head of Garut Samsat Ervin Yanuardi Effendi, at the Garut Regent's Office, Friday (11/4/2025).
In the meeting, the two discussed a number of strategic issues related to regional revenue management and motor vehicle tax (PKB) services in Garut Regency.
Ervin reported that there were changes in regulations regarding the Revenue Sharing Fund (DBH) for PKB and Motor Vehicle Transfer Fee (BBNKB) which are now optional.
In addition, he explained the high level of public enthusiasm for the motor vehicle tax amnesty program which is currently running from March 20 to June 30, 2025.
He said, if previously only around 400 to 500 taxpayers per day, currently the average reaches 2,000 visitors per day. Even on certain days it can reach 2,500.
"So if we average it now, it's around 2000, around 2000 visitors or taxpayers. Compared to before the tax amnesty, which was only around 400 to 500," said Ervin.
This amnesty program, Ervin continued, provides great benefits to the community because it eliminates all principal arrears and fines for motor vehicle tax.
"No matter how much they have arrears and have principal arrears and fines, so even if they have arrears for 10 years, we will eliminate them. So they only need to pay for the current year or the current year," he said.
In addition to the amnesty, Ervin also conveyed a new program from the West Java Provincial Government that has been in effect since last Tuesday, namely the exemption of the Transfer of Name Fee (BBN) for vehicles from outside the province. The public only needs to pay the cost of issuing documents such as STNK and BPKB.
"What is exempted is the BBN fee plus the BPKB fee, so it is almost 0 rupiah, but there are still things that must be paid, namely the PNBP fee, printing the STNK, printing the BPKB," he said.
Ervin appealed to the public to take advantage of this opportunity, especially those with arrears of more than five years, to immediately carry out a physical check of their vehicles at Samsat.
However, he also reminded the public not to rush because this program is still running until June 30.
"For the people of Garut, of course this is a form of 'kindness from the Governor', from the West Java Provincial Government, to make things easier for the people, of course this must be utilized," he said.
For annual tax payments, Ervin encourages the use of digital services such as the Sapa Warga application, as well as utilizing service outlets spread across various areas of Garut such as Cikajang, Pameungpeuk, Limbangan, and through the Samades program in Wanaraja.
"Later there will be a payment code submitted in the application and it can be paid at Indomaret, Alfamart and so on. Including at the Public Service Mall, for the year," he said. (Garut Communication and Information Service/UPI)
