PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Health Service (Dinkes) will socialize the prevention of the transmission of dengue fever (DHF) cases to schools and madrasas in Bandung City. This is done to anticipate the spread of dengue fever in school and madrasah environments.

In this case, the Bandung City Health Office is collaborating with the Bandung City Education Office (Disdik) and the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) in the Bandung City area.

"Next week, God willing, we will provide outreach to schools and madrasas, in collaboration with the Education Department and the Ministry of Religion. "Also strengthening all hospital directors regarding health services for dengue sufferers in particular," explained the Head of the Bandung City Health Office, Anhar Hadian.

Data on the distribution of dengue fever cases from the Bandung City Health Office states that as of April 26 2024, 2,905 of the 3,025 dengue fever cases in Bandung City were declared cured.

Regarding active cases as of April 26 2024, there were 107 reported cases. When compared with the previous week, the number of active cases in the 16th week decreased by 79 cases.

In the 16th week, Kiaracondong District recorded the highest number of active cases with 11 active cases. Meanwhile, the lowest number of active cases was recorded by Sumur Bandung District and Sukasari District with 0 active cases.

Meanwhile at sub-district level, the highest number of active cases in week 16 was recorded by Cipadung Kidul and Cipamokolan sub-districts, each with 5 active cases. Meanwhile, 88 sub-districts managed to record zero active dengue cases in the 16th week.

Previously, Anhar also repeatedly reminded the people of Bandung City of these two things to prevent the potential spread of dengue fever:

First, the people of Bandung City must ensure that their places of residence and activities are free from mosquito larvae. Second, if a family member at home has a fever, immediately access the nearest health facility.
