Preventing Violence in Schools, Bekasi Regional Government Launches 'Si Getak' Application

PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BEKASI - The Bekasi Regency Regional Government (Pemdakab) launched the SI GETAK application (System for Preventing and Handling Violence), a reporting system between students and teachers if acts of violence occur inside or outside the school environment at the commemoration of National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2024.

Acting Regent of Bekasi Dani Ramdan said that through the SI GETAK application it is hoped that it can prevent acts of violence in the world of education, so that each individual, both teachers and students, can reprimand each other and supervise not to do this.

"Actually, this is a reporting system, so students, teachers and even the public can report incidents of violence at school and outside school. But what we are encouraging more is prevention in the hope that with this application people will think about bullying," he said at the end. leading the National Education Day Ceremony at the Bekasi Regency level, at SMPN 1 Cikarang Selatan, Thursday (2/5/2024).

Furthermore, as directed by the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbudristek), Acting Regent of Bekasi Dani Ramdan advised all teaching staff in Bekasi Regency to continue to contribute to the world of education, producing the next generation towards a Golden Indonesia 2045. Especially with the existence of The Independent Learning curriculum will begin to be implemented in 2024.

"Of course, this is an extraordinarily hard effort, so we must continue to progress what has been initiated and its advantages continue so that we can leap into the future quickly, therefore I really have high hopes for educators to take a significant role. This is very strategic to build a brighter future towards a Golden Indonesia 2045," he said.

Head of the Bekasi Regency Education Service (Disdik) Iman Faturochman added that in the SI GETAK application, students will be verified via the National Student Identification Number (NISN) so that reports entered into the system can be immediately followed up.

Furthermore, in supporting the declaration of independent learning, Faturochman said that the Bekasi District Education Office had opened opportunities for people who wanted to share their knowledge and expertise with schools by first communicating with the education coordinator in each sub-district.

"People who want to share knowledge and expertise are welcome to visit the education unit in coordination with the regional coordinator in each sub-district," he said.

Also present at the activity were elements of the Bekasi Regency Forkopimda, the Bekasi Regency Regional Secretary, the Bekasi Regency PAUD Mother, the Chair of the Bekasi Regency DWP, the ranks of Heads of Regional Apparatus and School Principals within the Bekasi District Government, as well as the Chair of the Bekasi Regency Baznas.
