PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government has launched an Integrated Service Desk for the New Student Admissions System (SPMB) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year to assist the public in resolving various school registration issues in one service location until the admissions process is completed (8/6/2026).

This service is provided by the Bandung City Education Office by involving the Population and Civil Registration Office and the Social Service Office to expedite the resolution of administrative problems frequently faced by prospective students and parents.

Secretary of the Bandung City Education Office, Edy Suparjoto, said that this year's SPMB process involved five stages, namely data collection, registration, selection, announcement, and re-registration.

Currently, the SPMB implementation has entered the first registration stage which will last until June 12, 2026 for the affirmative action pathway for underprivileged families and the achievement pathway.

"At this stage, registration is open for the affirmative action pathway for low-income families and the achievement pathway. Most importantly, residents must have completed the data collection process and uploaded all required documents," said Edy.

He explained that the main documents that must be prepared include the Family Card, Birth Certificate, and parents' Identity Cards.

Through this integrated service, residents experiencing administrative problems can immediately obtain assistance without having to visit several separate offices.

"For example, if your family card (KK) is damaged or needs to be updated, your birth certificate hasn't been issued, or there's been a change in your family data, you can go directly to the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil). Similarly, people who need verification of their social assistance data can be served directly by the Social Services Office," he explained.

In addition to assisting with document completion, the Education Office also provides assistance regarding school selection, understanding admission pathways, and selection mechanisms that are appropriate to the conditions of each prospective student.

Edy revealed that most of the public's complaints were related to the data collection process and obstacles in logging into the system due to population data that was not yet synchronized.

The integrated service desk has been operating since May 11, 2026 and will run until June 28, 2026 or until all registration stages are completed.

The public can also access information, complaint, and chatbot services 24 hours a day through the official SPMB Bandung City website.

Edy reminded the public not to trust parties who offer assistance to enter school through unofficial channels.

"Don't trust SPMB brokers. The entire process is transparent and system-based. Complete the requirements, understand the pathways, and choose the best opportunities," he said.

He also asked parents to utilize the available information systems to monitor admission opportunities before deciding on a school.

Specifically for elementary school level, Edy emphasized that selection prioritizes the age of prospective students, not distance from residence.

"Please come directly to the SPMB Integrated Services Desk. We are ready to provide complete service. The principle is that no school-age child in Bandung City should be deprived of access to education," he concluded.

The presence of this integrated service is expected to facilitate access to education, speed up administrative completion, and ensure that all prospective students have equal opportunities to take the SPMB in a transparent and accountable manner.
