West Java Social Service-Ministry of Social Affairs Distributes Logistics Assistance to Residents Affected by the Cimahi Flash Flood

PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Provincial Government through the West Java Social Service (Dinsos) moved quickly to distribute aid to handle the flash flood disaster that hit Cimahi City.

Around 166 residents of Cipageran Village, North Cimahi District, were affected by the disaster. A total of 51 houses were damaged, eight of which were seriously damaged.

Help. Assistant for Government and People's Welfare at the Regional Secretariat (Setda) of West Java Province, Dodo Suhendar, reported that the West Java Social Service had sent aid in the form of basic necessities and clothing.

"West Java Social Services sent food logistics assistance such as instant noodles, sardines, corned beef, cooking oil, biscuits, soy sauce, sauce and sugar, as well as clothing logistics such as blankets, t-shirts, housedresses and toiletries," said Dodo.

Apart from the West Java Social Service, said Dodo, the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) through the Abiyoso Center also distributed aid to communities affected by flash floods in Cimahi City.

"While the Abiyoso Center distributes clothing logistics such as adult clothing, blankets, mattresses and family kits, logistics for vulnerable groups such as kidsware, baby clothing, children's food, as well as evacuation logistics in the form of roll-up tents," he said.

Dodo also said that handling of the flash flood disaster in Cimahi City was still ongoing. Moreover, rainfall in Cimahi City and its surroundings is still observed to be high.
