PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil) of Garut Regency is strengthening its proactive approach to public services through strategic collaboration with the legislature.
The Garut Population and Civil Registration Office's (Disdukcapil) Mobile Phone Team (Jembol) was present to provide direct services during the 2026 Session III Recess held by the Deputy Chairman of the Garut Regency DPRD, Subhan Fahmi, on Thursday (22/5/2026).
The event, held at MTs Nurul Huda in Balewangi Village, Cisurupan District, was enthusiastically received by hundreds of community members. The outreach service aligns with this year's recess theme, "Strengthening Infrastructure and Improving Social Data."
Through this integrated service, residents can not only express their concerns to their representatives but also fulfill various population administration (Adminduk) needs directly on-site. This step reduces the distance and time required for Balewangi Village residents who previously had to travel to the city center to process documents.
Based on field data, this integrated service has successfully facilitated hundreds of documents with details of printing 67 e-KTPs, recording 59 new e-KTPs, issuing 52 Birth Certificates, issuing 30 Family Cards (KK).
The Head of the Population and Civil Registration Service of Garut Regency, Rena Sudrajat, emphasized that orderly population administration is the main prerequisite for improving social data.
"The presence of the Disdukcapil Jembol Team at the recess event of the Deputy Speaker of the Regional People's Representative Council, H. Subhan Fahmi, is a concrete manifestation of harmonious collaboration between the executive and legislative branches. The theme of improving social data is highly relevant, as all data on aid recipients and development programs is based on the validity of the Population Identification Number (NIK) and Family Card," said Rena.
Rena added that her team is committed to continuously optimizing outreach services at various times to ensure the public receives fast, easy, and 100 percent free service.
"We want to ensure that every resident, especially in Cisurupan, has valid population documents. We provide all these services quickly, easily, and 100 percent free of charge," emphasized the Head of the Garut Population and Civil Registration Office.
This activity is expected to improve the accuracy of population data in Cisurupan District. This data accuracy is projected to make poverty alleviation and infrastructure development programs in Garut Regency more targeted in the future. (Garut Communications and Information Service/rka)
