PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Communication and Informatics Service (Diskominfo) held a socialization of the implementation of the Asia Africa Youth Forum (AAYF) logo to all regional apparatus social media admins at the Bandung City Hall Auditorium (22/4/2025).

This activity is part of the preparation of Bandung City as the host of AAYF 2025 while strengthening its position as the Capital of Asia Africa. The AAYF logo that was introduced is the result of creative collaboration of young people of Bandung City, which is full of the philosophy and spirit of the Ten Principles of Bandung.

Head of Bandung City Communication and Information Service, Yayan A. Brilyana, emphasized that the AAYF logo is not just a visual symbol, but contains strategic value in building the image and identity of Bandung City on the global stage.

"This logo is a form of grant from the Bandung creative community. We socialize the philosophy, usage guidelines, and visual narratives so that they are used uniformly across all official government channels," said Yayan.

According to him, branding of Bandung City must be done with a planned and responsible approach. Therefore, the role of the regional apparatus social media admin is very vital in shaping public perception.

"Content that is in the form of real action in the field such as the activities of Gober, Linmas, sub-district heads, village heads, and heads of departments, has proven to be more popular with residents. We need to encourage and increase this," he explained.

The Head of the Communication and Information Service also asked the admins to prepare a strategic content plan ahead of the AAYF event, and to actively coordinate with the Communication and Information Service.

"Give us ammunition in the form of data, schedules, and activities, so that we can echo it together and in a measurable way," he said.

In the session, the representative of the AAYF logo design team, Abdullah Caesar, explained that this design aims to raise the spirit of the 1955 Asia Africa Conference in the context of today's young generation.

"We present a fresh face of the values of Dasasila Bandung, with a spirit of cross-continental collaboration. This logo not only represents Bandung's past as a historical city, but also its future as a center for global youth movements," he said.

The logo design embodies the symbolism of optimism, diversity, and unity, reflecting Bandung as a home for big ideas that can have a positive impact in the social, cultural, political, environmental, and technological fields.

As a form of commitment, the creative team handed over the rights to use the “70 Bandung Capital City of Asia Africa” logo to the Bandung City Government to be used officially in all activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dasasila Bandung.

"Bandung is a city that has not only changed world history, but is now also ready to inspire the future through its youth," concluded Caesar.
