PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Deputy Regent of Garut, Putri Karlina welcomed the cooperation with online transportation service providers in order to support the growth of local MSMEs.

The meeting took place in the Deputy Regent's Meeting Room, Jalan Pembangunan, Tarogong Kidul District, Garut Regency, Thursday (6/3/2025).

According to him, this collaboration is part of the implementation of the vision and mission of the Regent and Deputy Regent of Garut, especially in the Wira Hebat program, which aims to encourage economic growth based on MSMEs.

One of the programs discussed is ASN Belanja, which encourages the purchase of MSME products by State Civil Apparatus (ASN). The Deputy Regent of Garut proposed a discount for Regional Work Units (SKPD) that have the most transactions.

Putri gave an example, if the SKPD with the highest transaction in a period will get a bigger discount in the following month. "If previously the discount was 10 percent, the following month it could be 15 percent, then back to normal in the following month," she explained.

Three MSME Digitalization Programs
Head of the Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Service (Diskop UKM) of Garut Regency, Ridzky Ridznurdhin, said that this collaboration aims to support the digitalization of MSMEs so that they can develop further and increase turnover.

There are three main programs that will be run together with one of the online transportation providers, namely ASN Belanja, Ketupat (Chasing Multiple Profits), and Kopling (Mobile Kopdar).

This activity, added Rizky, aims to digitalize MSME entrepreneurs engaged in the culinary or other fields so that they can increase their business scale and turnover.

In realizing this program, his party collaborated with one of the online transportation providers, as a strategic partner, which he considered as a large platform that has online transaction services and a special division for MSMEs, so that this program is expected to be a one-stop service for MSME actors in Garut Regency.

"The Deputy Regent strongly supports this program because it not only focuses on MSMEs, but is also related to improving urban planning, including the arrangement of Street Vendors (PKL)," he added.

Through this collaboration, the local government hopes that digitalization can boost the competitiveness of Garut MSMEs in a wider market. (Garut Regency Government Public Relations/rka)
