PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Regional Regulation Formation Agency (Bapemperda) of the Bekasi Regency People's Representative Council (DPRD) confirmed that discussions on the Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) on Villages and the Draft Regional Regulation on Tourism Management will be continued immediately through a Special Committee (Pansus) after being deemed to have met administrative and substantive readiness. (22/6/2026)
The Head of the Regional Regulation Development Planning Agency (Bapemperda) of Bekasi Regency DPRD, Ombi Hari Wibowo, said the decision was taken after Bapemperda held a series of working meetings to review the readiness of the proposed Regional Regulation Formation Program (Propemperda) for 2026.
"After conducting in-depth discussions regarding the draft regional regulations, as well as analyzing the readiness of all stages and deadlines for several existing draft regional regulations, the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bapemperda) agreed to prioritize deliberation on the two draft regional regulations and recommended the formation of a special committee in the near future," he said.
Ombi explained that the two Draft Regional Regulations were prioritized because they had been accompanied by an Academic Paper (NA), a draft of the Draft Regional Regulation, and the readiness of the drafting team that would accompany the discussion process.
According to him, of the several proposed regulations included in the Propemperda, only the two Draft Regional Regulations are currently considered most ready to enter the discussion stage with the DPRD.
"Thank God, after several working meetings we held, the discussion narrowed down to two draft regional regulations that were deemed ready for further discussion," he said.
The Bekasi Regency Government, through the Acting Regent of Bekasi, has also submitted a memorandum proposing discussion of the two Draft Regional Regulations to the DPRD as part of the stages of forming regional regulations.
Bapemperda will then encourage the DPRD plenary session to determine the formation of a Special Committee as a follow-up step in discussing the two Draft Regional Regulations.
"In the future, we will encourage a plenary meeting to establish a special committee as a follow-up to the discussion of the Village Regulation Draft and the Tourism Management Regulation Draft," he said.
Ombi hopes that the discussion of the two Draft Regional Regulations will proceed according to target so that it becomes a strong legal basis for the Bekasi Regency Government in implementing development programs.
"Hopefully, the deliberations on these two draft regional regulations can be completed successfully, so that the Bekasi Regency Government has a strong legal basis for implementing its policies. Most importantly, the regulations that are enacted will truly benefit and benefit all Bekasi Regency residents," he concluded.
