PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BEKASI - General Secretary of the West Java Tilawatil Qur'an Development Institute (LPTQ) KH Jajang Apipudin said that on the 5th day of the 38th West Java MTQ competition the final round had been completed in three branches, namely the Musabaqoh Syarhil Quran (MSQ), Musabaqoh Fahmil Quran ( MFQ), and Tafsir Quran.

"So as of this afternoon, if combined with yesterday, a total of six musabaqoh branches have completed the final round, namely khat, scientific writing, fahmil, syahril and tafsir, and there are three more branches remaining, namely the recitation, tahfidz and Qiro'at branches," he said.

He said this to a number of media crew when holding a presscon at the 38th MTQ Media Center, Swatantra Wibawa Mukti Building, Bekasi Regency Regional Government Plaza, Friday (3/5/2024).

For the Fahmil Quran competition, for both men and women, there were 5 (five) districts and cities that entered the final round, including the host, Bekasi Regency, Karawang Regency, West Bandung Regency, Bandung Regency and Bogor City.

"Meanwhile for the Musabaqoh Syarhil Quran Branch, there are also five districts and cities competing in the final round, namely Bekasi Regency, Tasikmalaya Regency, Bandung Regency, Tasikmalaya City and Bandung City," he explained.

Then for the Tafsir Branch, all groups have also competed, including Arabic, English and Indonesian for men and women.

"Tonight, after Isha, the final round will be contested for the Tilawah Branch for Adults and Qiroat Mujawwad for Adults," he explained.

According to Jajang, the Provincial Level MTQ is an effort by the West Java LPTQ to attract talents who can later represent West Java Province on the prestigious national level MTQ stage.

The plan is that the National MTQ will be held in the next 4 months or so in the National Capital City (IKN) of East Kalimantan.

"Later on, all the participants will represent West Java, at the National MTQ which will take place from 2 to 12 September 2024. Afterwards the announcement of the First Winner in this MTQ will come out. We will prepare for the national MTQ," he said. (Diskominfo, Bekasi/Revo Regency)
