PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - Acting. The Regent of Garut, Barnas Adjidin, conducted a direct inspection of the progress of the flyover construction on Jalan Ibrahim Adjie, Tarogong Kaler District, Garut Regency (4/4/2024).

Barnas stated the commitment of the Garut District Government to complete the construction of the road sections that will pass through both homecoming and returning flows. He targets that the flyover can be used in the upcoming Eid al-Fitr season.

"This Eid al-Fitr can be used even though it is not yet complete, it will be easy from what we will feel, namely that this bottleneck can be resolved, even though there will be slowdowns in its implementation," said Barnas.

Acting The Regent also asked the Head of the Garut Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Department to prioritize the construction of this flyover and ensure the safety of road users.

"It also doesn't interfere with work projects, which can be done, so don't let it take up time so that it can't be completed in time," he said.

Based on his observations, Barnas stated that some of the main sections of the road had been completed, but there were still several parts that needed repair.

He called the Garut PUPR Service to immediately deal with the remaining potholes in the next few days.

Lastly, as Eid holiday is declared, Barnas hopes that people can take advantage of the holiday time during the Eid season to go home early to avoid traffic jams.

"So the government's program extends the holiday time to reduce traffic jams between H-3 and Eid al-Fitr, therefore using this time to get to your destination faster, thus reducing traffic jams for workers who are slow to go home," he concluded.
