PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - Garut Regency is holding two major events to commemorate its 211th anniversary, namely the Garut Creative Fair (GCF) Volume 2 and the 2024 Garut Cultural Charm Festival (GPBG) which will open this weekend.

Head of the Garut Regency Tourism and Culture Service (Disparbud), Luna Aviantrini, revealed that these two events will be held on April 27-28 2024, centered at the RAA Adiwijaya Sports Facilities Area (SOR), Tarogong Kidul District, Garut Regency.

"Well, for this Garut Creative Fair event, we are uniting the location with the Garut Cultural Enchantment Festival, so that friends from the community will come there on the 27th (SOR RAA Adiwijaya)," said Luna after attending the Regional Autonomy Day (Otda) Commemoration Ceremony. 28 of 2024 at Garut Regency level, Thursday (25/4/2024).

Luna explained that this big event was enlivened by stage performances, cultural performances, people's parties, and creative economy exhibitions.

Specifically for GCF, he added, this event is the second year it has been held, where through this activity the party wants to improve and reintroduce the work and products of creative industries typical of Garut Regency.

"The output of our creative products is certainly becoming more well known, yes, more widely known because of this we hope that (visitors) will also come from outside Garut too, to see what's in Garut, especially (in) "17 creative industry sub-sectors," he said.

He said that the plan for this Garut Creative Fair event will be a special performance from the national band, Utopia, which will entertain visitors to GCF volume 2 this year.

Therefore, he invited the public to come and enliven these two events as a series of commemorations of the 211th HJG in 2024.

"For the people of Garut, especially those in Garut, invite their friends, acquaintances and families together to attend the second Garut Creative Fair, together we will increase the productivity of the creative economy in Garut," he concluded. (Diskominfo Garut/Revo)
