PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan inaugurated Geulis Kiwari (Outlet for Special Services) at the Bandung Kiwari Regional Hospital (4/3/2025).
This service is to provide population services for Bandung City residents, especially for newborns and their families.
Farhan stated that this innovation is part of the government's efforts to provide faster, easier, and more inclusive services to the community.
"This is a real form of collaboration that makes things easier for residents. Now, babies born at RSUD Bandung Kiwari will immediately receive population documents without having to go through a complicated process," he said.
Geulis Kiwari provides a "3 in 1" service for babies born in this hospital, namely parents will immediately receive a Birth Certificate, a new Family Card (KK), and a Child Identity Card (KIA).
In addition, this outlet also serves the making of Death Certificates, recording of electronic KTP, and activation of Digital Population Identity (IKD).
Meanwhile, the Director of RSUD Bandung Kiwari, dr. Yorisa Sativa explained that this service is present as a response to the high demand of the community for fast and easily accessible population administration.
"We want to ensure that every patient, both those giving birth and the general public, can obtain population documents more easily, including those who need access to BPJS and UHC services," he said.
What's sophisticated is that Geulis Kiwari also provides a portable recording device that allows officers to visit patients who cannot come directly to the outlet.
With this, people who have limited access can still get population services without obstacles.
At the inauguration, the Mayor of Bandung symbolically handed over population documents to two babies born at the Bandung Kiwari Regional Hospital, namely Inara Nuraisa (born March 2, 2025) and
Salima Salina Iswari (born March 3, 2025).
Geulis Kiwari is the sixth outlet opened by the Bandung City Population and Civil Registry Office, complementing the five other outlets that have been operating in various locations, such as malls and public service centers.
This service is open every Monday – Friday, 08.00 – 15.00 WIB, with the hope of increasing public satisfaction with public services in the city of Bandung.
On this occasion, Farhan also inaugurated the Katresna and Senandung Perdana services. (Bandung City Communication and Information Service/Fauziah)
