PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Alfath Fadillah Ridwannur, a student from the State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Gunung Djati who has made his mark as one of the Bandung City Reading Ambassadors, gave his inspiring voice. With enthusiasm, Alfath shared stories about his journey towards becoming a literacy mission carrier.

Alfath shared the reasons behind his decision to become the Bandung City Reading Ambassador. This was driven by his concern for returning the culture of reading to society.

"Reading is not just a hobby, but a form of concern for broadening horizons and knowledge. I believe that literacy is the key to opening the door to wider opportunities for society," he said, Tuesday (23/4/2024).

According to him, by reading you will find out many things and have broader insight. Therefore, books are a window that allows you to explore the world without having to leave your place.

Through reading, everyone can understand various points of view, gain new knowledge, and enrich their thinking.

"For me, books are not just inanimate objects, but like friends who accompany me in all life situations. Then in the journey of life, books provide lessons to be careful in determining the path forward," he said.

Coinciding with World Book Day, Alfath gave a recommendation for his favorite book, entitled "Earth of Love" by Habiburrahman El Shirazy.

According to him, this book has a strong appeal and is able to touch readers' hearts with deep life messages.

In connection with the commemoration of World Book Day, Alfath hopes that the enthusiasm for reading will grow again in society.

"Let's all open the pages of our favorite books together. By reading, we not only increase our knowledge, but also enrich our souls and insight," he said.

Alfath is a clear example that a love of literacy can bring positive changes in the lives of many people.
