PORTALJABAR, BOGOR CITY - The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) has prepared various programs and activities that will directly benefit the community to commemorate the 544th Bogor Anniversary (HJB). This year, HJB carries the theme "Bogor Nanjeur," reflecting the spirit of Bogor City to remain standing strong in the face of various challenges and ready to face the changing times.

The Head of the Bogor City HJB Committee, Iceu Pujiati, stated that this year's HJB series was designed as a gift to the community. In addition to offering various entertainment and cultural activities, the celebration also included programs that provide tangible benefits in education, health, social issues, the environment, and the economy.

"In this 544th HJB, the community should experience firsthand the benefits of their city's anniversary celebration. Therefore, we have prepared various programs and activities to ensure the community feels happy, joyful, and benefits at the same time," said Iceu.

He explained that the HJB series is divided into two implementing groups: regional officials, strategic partners from the Bogor City Government, and various community groups participating independently. In total, 42 activities will be held during the HJB celebrations.

The series of commemorations began on June 3 with a flag ceremony at Bogor City Hall and a Plenary Session of the Bogor City DPRD, followed by the activation of the Pajajaran Museum in Batutulis.

In the field of education, the Bogor City Government through the Education Office presents various programs, including scholarships for 80 outstanding students from underprivileged families, educational assistance for 2,000 private junior high school students, and undergraduate education scholarships for PAUD teachers through the Open University.

In addition, a diploma redemption program is also available for junior high school (SMP), MTs (Islamic junior high school), SMA (SMA), MA (Islamic senior high school), and vocational high school (SMK) students who face administrative costs. The Bogor City Government is also promoting the strengthening of Community Learning Activity Centers (PKBM) as part of its efforts to achieve a zero percent dropout rate in the city.

In the social and religious sector, as many as 3,200 Koranic teachers will receive incentives and be registered in the BPJS Employment program.

Meanwhile, the health sector provides various free and subsidized services, such as mass circumcisions for 544 participants at 25 community health centers, free maternity services at 21 community health centers, HbA1C tests with a 54.4 percent discount, free rabies vaccinations, medical equipment assistance for people with disabilities, and blood donation activities.

The Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil) also provides population administration services, including the issuance of new ID cards and birth certificates for babies born on Bogor's anniversary. Additionally, the 2026 Dukcapil Family Fest will be held to facilitate the public in processing various population documents.

In the public services and economic sector, the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) offers mobile PBB-P2 (land tax) and mobile Samsat (Vehicle Tax Administration) services. Perumda Tirta Pakuan offers new connections at a special rate of Rp544,000 for certain customer groups, and is free for houses of worship, Islamic boarding schools, and integrated health posts (posyandu).

The HJB celebration was also marked by environmental activities, such as planting 544 trees throughout the city of Bogor involving the government and the community.

To increase employment opportunities, the Manpower Office held a Job Fair involving 30 national companies and offering approximately 1,000 job openings. Furthermore, training for Prospective Indonesian Migrant Workers (CPMI) was also provided to open up employment opportunities abroad.

Various sports, arts, cultural, creative economy, and culinary activities enlivened the 544th HJB. These included the HJB Run, Bogor City Trail, Bogor Green Cycling, the Situ Gede Creative Economy Festival, GastroFest, the jAzztaga! music performance, and various Sundanese cultural festivals.

The peak of the celebration will take place on June 27, 2026 through the 544th HJB Helaran on Jalan Sudirman, which is an annual event and is always awaited by the people of Bogor City.

Not Just a Ceremony

Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim emphasized that the 544th HJB should not be merely a ceremonial activity, but should be able to provide a real impact on the community.

According to him, all regional apparatus must involve communities and various elements of society so that the celebration becomes more meaningful and its benefits are felt by residents.

"The key is to involve all parties. The Bogor City Government must contribute as much as possible so that the public truly feels the benefits of this celebration," Dedie emphasized.

He added that various programs presented must be oriented towards improving the welfare of the community, especially priority groups who need government support.

In line with that, the Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Jenal Mutaqin, emphasized that HJB is a birthday momentum for all Bogor City residents.

"This is the birthday of the citizens of Bogor City, not the Bogor City Government," said Jenal.

Meanwhile, Iceu Pujiati explained that this year's 544th HJB was special because it was implemented through a spirit of collaboration without relying on the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).

"Thank God, this collaborative concept has received a positive response from various communities and strategic partners. We hope that the 544th HJB will truly be a celebration for all Bogor residents," he concluded.
