PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Rain has poured down again in Bandung City since Friday, March 14 to Saturday, March 15, 2025 evening.

In the current situation, the Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan asked related agencies and regions to be alert and anticipate hydrometeorological disasters.

Farhan also appealed to residents to remain alert to potential disasters.

"We continue to work hard to anticipate so that this flood can be controlled. DSDABM (Water Resources and Highways Agency), UPT and regional officers continue to monitor local conditions," said Farhan on the sidelines of the Cibiru District Ramadan Celebration, at the UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Campus (3/15/2025).

He said that flood resolution in each region is different, so regional elements must understand the conditions on site.

"If the water overflows from the upper areas such as Dago. Then the lower areas such as Tamansari, Cihampelas, Pagarsih and the eastern areas must anticipate the overflow," he said.

Not only that, Farhan also said that the city of Bandung needs a lot of additional water channels.

"The solution for each region will be different. Bandung City Government will add new water channels," he said. (Bandung City Communication and Information Service/Fauziah)
