PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The garbage problem is still the most dominant problem faced by the community, especially during the rainy season like now.
Poorly managed waste contributes to flooding and has serious environmental impacts.
Member of the West Java Provincial DPRD, Mamat Rachmat, said that, as a form of responsibility, his party would encourage cooperation between the Bandung City DPRD and the West Java Provincial Government to find a solution to the problem.
According to him, one of the steps to overcome the waste problem is to strengthen education for the community regarding the correct way to manage waste.
"Don't just socialize when a problem arises, but it must be done sustainably. Starting from sorting waste, recycling methods, to environmentally friendly waste management," said Mamat, Tuesday (11/3/2025)
Mamat hopes that the synergy between the government and the community can be closer in facing various urban challenges, especially in the aspects of the environment, education, and health services.
"This waste problem cannot be solved by one institution alone but requires synergy from all stakeholders in society," concluded Mamat. (Rep no)
