PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Provincial Government won the award as the first best province in the 2024 Minimum Service Standards (SPM) Awards. The award was given by the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta, Wednesday (24/4/2024).

West Java Provincial Secretary Herman Suryatman said that the award was thanks to the cooperation of all parties in the West Java Provincial Government.

"Thank God, the West Java Provincial Government received appreciation from the 2024 SPM Awards. This is all (thanks to) the support of all the people of West Java," said Herman.

Herman explained that the West Java Provincial Government received appreciation as the Completely Main province as well as the government with the best SPM for mandatory government affairs including education, health, public works, social and economic.

"We should be grateful for this, I thank you on behalf of the leadership, and of course apologize if there are still shortcomings," he said.

Herman also invited all State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the West Java Provincial Government to continue to maintain and strengthen the quality of Public Service Standards for the welfare of the community.

"It is our duty to continuously improve the quality of public services. Because serving the public, meeting minimum standards for the public, is the government's obligation for the welfare of society," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs John Wempi Wetipo said that SPM was determined and implemented based on the principles of suitability of authority, availability, affordability, sustainability and target accuracy.

"Moreover, they deal directly with the community in terms of providing basic services," he said.

The 2024 SPM Awards are a form of award given by the Ministry of Home Affairs to regional governments with the best performance, in implementing SPM in three provinces, three districts and three cities.
