PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Cooking oil is a food ingredient that is often used by people in everyday life.

Every day almost every household cooks using cooking oil. If it has changed color or is not suitable for use, the used oil will be thrown away.

Used oil or what is usually called used cooking oil is often thrown directly into drains, kitchen sinks, and even onto the ground. Even though it is considered practical, this method actually has a bad impact on the environment.

Please note that used cooking oil is included in the Hazardous and Toxic Waste (B3) produced by households.

B3 waste is waste that in its concentration contains dangerous substances that can damage the environment and have a negative impact on health.

Now the residents of Bandung City don't need to worry anymore, because Noovoleum is here as a solution for storing used cooking oil by providing economic value.

"We are here focused on the environmental sector, we see that the production of used cooking oil in Indonesia is the largest, especially since the city of Bandung is one of the 5 big cities in Indonesia where there is a lot of used cooking oil waste," explained Pahlantah Noovoleum Project Director, Andini.

"So starting from there, we want to make people aware that we are working together. Let's protect the environment and health. It turns out that used cooking oil can also have the potential to make money. It can have economic value," he continued.

Please note, the used cooking oil that has been collected will be reprocessed into renewable energy.

"We process the used cooking oil into biodiesel for engine fuel in factories as well as a mixture of bioavtur, and can also be used as aircraft fuel. So the concept is that from this waste we can process it into renewable energy," admitted Andini

Each liter of used cooking oil is purchased for IDR 6,500. Especially for Bandung City residents, you can also ask Noovoleum officers via telephone number 0811-1001-2402, to come and pick up used cooking oil provided the minimum amount of goods reaches five liters.

"Especially for Bandung residents who are confused about used cooking oil waste, they can deposit it with us. By coming directly to Jalan Raden Patah No. 6, Bandung City," he said.

Noovoleum has also prepared an application for residents who want to sell used cooking oil. Andini explained, first download or download the UCollect App application. Next, there are instructions for scanning the barcode code into the UCollect Box machine (used cooking oil storage machine).

Then the machine will calculate how many liters of oil are added, after which the funds will automatically go into the digital wallet connected to the UCollect App.

"Let's together become Pahlantah (Environmental Heroes Convert Waste Cooking Oil into Rupiah) to protect the environment, turn waste into blessings by not throwing away used cooking oil carelessly," said Andini.
